International Workshop on Development of an Entrepreneurial mindset to achieve sustainable development

On 27th September, 2024, S. S. Jain Subodh Management Institute organized an International Workshop on ‘Development of an Entrepreneurial Mindset to achieve Sustainable Development’ in the auditorium. The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Tissa Ravinda Perera, Professor, Department of Management and Organization Studies, Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Prof. (Dr) Raju Agrawal, IIC President and Director of the Institute welcomed the esteemed guest with bouquet and memento. In his address, Prof. (Dr) Raju Agrawal shared that entrepreneurship is the need of the hour. The role of entrepreneurship in changing the business landscape has been phenomenal. Entrepreneurial development has led to more employment opportunities, higher standards of living and visible impact.   Every entrepreneur has their own reason that drives them to being their own boss. If you want to become more confident and take initiative and risks, turn to entrepreneur.

The Key resource person of the workshop, Dr. T. R. Perera discussed the practical concept of entrepreneurial mindset, its characteristics and traits to develop it in a very interactive manner. He said that Entrepreneurial Mindset (EM) is a set of attitudes, dispositions, habits, and behaviors that shape a unique approach to problem-solving, innovation, and value creation. Most entrepreneurs exhibit positive tendencies from this mindset that help them overcome challenges, become more decisive, and take charge of their businesses. Successful entrepreneurs are Self directed, anti fragile and adaptable.  He also shared a entrepreneurial mindset assessment test with the students to identify the degree of entrepreneurial readiness.
