The Institute’s Innovation Council at S. S. Jain Subodh Management Institute organized a two days Inter-Institutional Investo Hackathon from 21 st to 22 nd March, 2024 in the college premises. The purpose of a hackathon was to promote sound investing and trading practices among various professional college students. It will help them to build the understanding about the working and trading strategies of the stock market and procedure of trading and how to apply investment strategies for wealth creation. It was an event to get a tide of ideas from participants and get exposure to industry practices and understand how things work behind the scenes.

Learning things practically, especially when they are studying gives them a lot of experience and helps them to master important and beneficial skills. The competition was organized to encourage students to consider investment management as a career option and foster a spirit of innovation and creativity in trading stock market. The competition was open to all students of the Institutes in the state. Around 20 entries were received which were pre-screened for the first round and the best 6 teams were shortlisted for the final simulation trading in the second round. The students presented their investment strategies along with the financial viability and market scenario. The certificates of participation were distributed to all the participants. The cash prizes and certificates to the winner teams were given in the valedictory function.
